I’m currently in my sixth month of tour… here are some observations:
A sense of humor can sometimes (actually, mostly always) serve as the most valuable thing in the world during seemingly impossible times.
I am the first to acknowledge/blatantly publicize my mistakes/flaws.
Chocolate is really important. Vending machines are exciting discoveries.
Being away from home for extended periods of time makes you (me) appreciate it more than I ever have before.
I appreciate personal space.
I also thrive on being part of a community.
Kids are really fucking smart.
I have a new found appreciation for tiny towns, small local businesses, and home cooked meals.
I love hotels…but they’re pretty lonely sometimes.
Hearing stories from new people every week thrills me.
I like knowing where I’m going to be sleeping at night.
I am getting to be a little too much like my mother
I get real homesick.
I need to give myself permission to make mistakes.
This is only part one….
